Our Mittersill house has been completely remodeled and is very cozy and comfortable. The house has a great view of Sugar Hill and the surrounding countryside. The House is also close enough to the Mittersill that you can easily walk to the slopes! The house has a very large entry with plenty of room to hang up your outdoor gear and bring in your skis to put on the ski rack. The fireplace is gas and is running by the click of a button. The kitchen is completely outfitted with all utensils, pots, pans etc that our guests will need. All spices etc and fresh ground coffee are also stocked. The refrigerator contains the basics like ketchup ,mustard, mayo etc.

The historic Horse & Hound is a renovated 12-bedroom lodge located in the beautiful White Mountains. It sleeps 25 guests and is perfect for large groups and retreats. The 12 upstairs guest rooms are each furnished with local handmade solid maple furniture. Linens and towels are 100% cotton and blankets are 100% Pendleton wool. Downstairs, you'll find a large living area, cozy but spacious library, tavern, large dining room with furniture from the original inn and 4 half baths. Although squeaky and slanted in a few areas, the original maple floors have been refinished and remain in good condition. The kitchen and bathrooms have new modern floors along with one bedroom upstairs and the main level bedroom. The Lodge rests just 6 feet from the river and is full of wildlife. It is not uncommon to see ducks, loons, deer, otters, and the occasional moose or blackbear. Being so close to the river, it does give you a real sense of being in the wilderness. Listening to the river sounds while having your morning coffee is truly remarkable. Just across the river is forest with great hiking trails. The river is also stocked yearly with Brook trout and is perfect for fishing. There are many deep areas just off the banks where the brook trout love to spend their mornings. The river is great to swim/sit in during the summer. There are eight beautiful Adirondack chairs positioned by a stone campfire along the river side. During the summer, the river is the perfect swimming pool to cool with a deeper area just off the house perfect for relaxing. The river is also perfect to fish or just relax by the fire with a glass of wine in the Adirondack chairs. During the winter season, the lodge is perfectly Located between many ski resorts and winter attractions. The lodge is situated at the base of Cannon mountain, 20 minutes from Brettonwoods, and 20 minutes from loon Mountain resort. The house comes loaded with everything you will need for a great stay, towels, kitchen where, grill utensils, 2 rolls of paper towels, 3 rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom, hand soaps at each sink, dish soap, dishwasher soap, hand towels, washing mashing detergent and dryer sheets. We do not offer personal soaps, shampoos, or hygiene products. *The main level, second level master, and bonus room have brand new big flat screen tv's with wi-fi capability and youtube tv, Netflix, and Prime entertainment packages. Pet friendly *The main level sofas's have slip covers that are change are each use. *There is a rechargeable light weight vacuum on the main level for guest to use and keep the house tidy. *Checkout is at 10:30am and with the new Covid restrictions we are requiring guest's to strip their beds and bring all used linens and towels by the washing machine on the main level. Guest's are welcome to start a load of laundry before they leave but not required.
